Received an e-mail that told me that FAA written tests will increase to $150 as of March 1st, 2010 at computer testing centers. Heard that this also has been posted on the AOPA website. IF you need to get a written done, do it before the beginning of March.

Thank god going to a private vendor, all computerized testing was going to save us so much money.....

That fee is so excessivly high, it's crazy. (I use to proctor exams years ago, I forget which company it was, 90% of the exams were not aviation, but some kind of microsoft certification.)

Can you provide the source of this? So far it's just a rumor. I can't locate any definitive source for this.

It could be a lot worse. I just sat 7 of my JAA ATPL exams at about $110 a piece. I still have 7 to go......

It's the truth. I was talking to our head testing person (locally) and they have been notified from Laser Grade.
