Hey Folks,

I was wondering if anyone here knows what the rules are on a FAA certificated airman performing SIC duties on a Mexican registered jet being flown in Mexico? (Not for hire)

I have an opportunity to fly an airplane I thought I never would, anybody know a definitive answer?

Muchas Gracias

You need a Mexican pilot certificate to fly a Mexican-registered airplane, no matter where.

Mexico also requires all crewmembers to be typed.

Fly safe!

Anybody have any experience with the DGAC issuing them a Mexican Certificate on the basis of their FAA ticket?

This would be called a validation, still believe you would need to be typed, let us know what you find out.
