FA --> Pilot

I was a FA for 3 years with Atlantic Coast Airlines. I'm now a Captain for a Regional, glad I made the switch. Never looked back! So I say go for it!

I'm interesting in going the Air National Guard route. I'm currently in college a couple years away from finishing my degree. Once I have my degree I'd like to join the ANG. Any info from people who have done this would be greatly appreciated. And how does UPT work? Is there enough time to do this and work on the side as an F/A, CSA, Ramper, etc? Thanks.

Two things.

First, once in UPT, there will be NO time for you to do something on the side. You'll be on active duty orders and won't need the distraction of something on the side.

Second, go to the military thread on this board to look for answers to your questions. Many others have asked the same questions you have. I'm retired from the NG and can give you information on my experience, but it's very old information.
