Sounds like Frontier won't be around much longer.

So, where do you get your intel from Einstein? Comments like that, in this enviroment, are asinine... Maybe you should contact Menke & wall st. Your remarks make you look like a jagoff... Yeah, a jagoff

FYI...Republic has ties to Frontier through Wexford Capital.

Wexford has sold a majority interest in Republic but is still a major holder.

It amazes me how some of you think F9 is finished. Clearly, you're not reading/hearing the same info we are. No, I'm not drinking any Koolaid. I've been through a BK with my previous airline...I know how these things work. That being said, the more info I get from our Union, management, analysts, etc... the more confident I am that we are going to survive the BK. Yes, I think there are some hard times ahead, but I feel our chances are good. It's way too early to count us out.

Alaskas big anouncement is tommorrow on what is going to happen with the QX CRJs. I guess Republic with their low cost could be the big April 24th news. Funny this Frontier anouncement is the day before that one. We at QX have lost our flying to Republic once, could this be the secound time. I would be afraid if I was at Alaska though. Those E170s / E190s look an awful lot like 737s.

I'm guessing that the AAG management team would appreciate the irony of seeing the Horizon pilots cornholed by an airline with another IBT-represented pilot group.

This is so funny I almost crapped myself.....they look like 73's? So what do your 700's look like? Let me guess....um......MD-80's?

Climb2 & Starcheckr, We're pullin for you guys

Show me the word "lawsuit" in that article.

"Republic said it plans to file a claim for $260 million in damages stemming from......."

Are you serious? Do you actually want it written verbatim or did you not take ECON 101 in college? Honestly, we'll have them write it in third grade languauge for you next time, k?

By definition, a "major" holder holds a "majority". Its called a root word.

Aside from leasing a few airplanes, Wexford hasn't had anything to do with investing in Frontier since the late 90s. This marriage is over and will become very ugly in bankruptcy (divorce) court.

If you've read "all the news", did you happen to read the whole article that started this thread that mentioned the lawsuit?

Ummm actually...... it is a "claim" in the bankruptcy court, it is different than a lawsuit. You should have finished writing it down verbatim.

In the world of airline execs, Menke is a star!

He did a huge amount to turn around Air Canada and if anyone can turn you guys around - it's him.

Having said that, the stock was trading at 49 cents today and sliding further. Let's hope you guys can ride it out.

I guess you'll have to wait a little longer for your scenario. This didn't happen today. QX pilots got the announcement of a screw-job alright, but not at the....hands of Republic.

Besides, compared to how bad ALPA carriers have screwed each other historically, the IBT pilot groups are rank amateurs.

TAWS...uh i hope i am not wrong here, but we have been delisted from the market, so i don't think there are any shares to trade...correct me if i'm wrong.

I'm guessing that further developments aren't out of the question given the opportunity to whipsaw both AAG pilot groups with one move.

Our 700s have HORIZON painted on them. They do some "harminization" flying and the rest mostly "at-risk" flying of our own brand. You paint those republic airplanes and I would guess they are going to say ALASKA. So an Alaska jumpseater tells me that Republic is going to start flying Horizon flights, I think he is wrong. Yeah, That E170/190 would look a lot like a 737 to any passenger when it is painted the same. When they get on our airplane they know they are on Horizon.

Horizon pilots' CBA:

...all present and future revenue flying ... in and for the service of the Company [Horizon Air Industries, Inc.] shall be performed by pilots on the Pilots’ System Seniority List in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement or any other applicable agreement between the Company and the Union.

There's plenty of crap to worry about nowadays, but having anyone else flying airplanes that say Horizon on the side shouldn't be on the list. I haven't researched it, but I imagine the AS pilots have similar protection.

Obviously Air Group isn't bound to either pilot group contractually and they can run out and hook up with any contract lift provider they want. I'd be surprised if they let anyone else have the keys to the car that is AAGs precious brand identity.

I seriously doubt anyone else can really cut AAG a great deal on contract lift if fuel costs are just passed through anyway. Minimal savings to AAG at best with their reputation in the hands of some contract lift provider. Don't think it's gonna happen.

A claim is NOT a lawsuit, idiot.

....and what in the hell does ECON 101 have to do with business and/or contract law?

Next time you pick a fight with someone, make sure you know what in the hell you're talking about.

........k?

Oh, and speaking of the third grade, you should have learned how to spell the word "language" there.
