In other parts of the world like South America, Europe and Asia, they have a certification. In Japan they have to go through ditching and other emergency drills on inicial hire and every 6 months thereafter and in South America they spend a whole week in the jungle using only what might be left off in a plane crash. After all the training they get a license.

I'm sorry, I was just teasing. My wife is a flight attendant and I have great respect for their patience and professionalism when dealing with the moron passengers.

If I were them, I'd be careful. This could put them ever deeper under the umbrella of Government red tape!

Anyone care to put a price tag on this one?

Nice move by the union to try and garner better pay and security, but I don't think that is what the FAA is for..

too bad

I sure would hate to see a bunch of flight attendants tied up in red tape!;)
