What a pompous young man. Maybe we should all change our value systems and pursue career goals that only satisfy your narrow definition of "accomplishing a lot". Being able to herd four R2800's through the clag in Alaska is not a skill to be taken lightly. To be able to do so in the year 2004 is actually impressive. Do you really think those who ply their trade in such a manner do so because they lack some innate ability or worthiness and therefore have "failed" in their quest to be a "real" airline pilot like you?

Since you keep droning on about Alaska and DC-6's, and you apparently won't shut up until I respond, I guess I will, if only to get you to stop repeating yourself.

Alaska. It isn't for everyone, I suspect that it wouldn't be your cup of tea. It is mine. I live here by choice, have for most of my adult life, which is to say that I've been here for about as long as you've been alive. I like it, so you're going to have a tough time insulting me by pointing out that I live in Alaska.

DC-6's. I fly them because I want to. I always wanted to. Now I am. If I decided I didn't want to fly DC-6's anymore, I'd probably try to find a job flying a 185 on floats ... or maybe a Beaver. Or I might go back to a previous profession, which I also enjoyed ..... But I'd still look up every time a DC-6 rumbled over, smile to myself and say yeah, I flew those.

Where you're screwing up here is you're trying to apply your narrow, myopic set of values to my life. Yeah, If you were in Alaska flying DC-6's, you'd probably have a pistol in your mouth, if you could figure out which end the bullets came out of. Me, I'm where I want to be, doing what I want to do.

blog's are a modern diary. now, diaries are private, but blog's are not. It's a net thing.

I don't see anything in QofS's blog that would warrant her getting fired. It just isn't right. We have non-compete clauses in our employee contracts, but only for 1 year, and they work. If I work for a PoS company, and I say something like that, but don't identify the company, explicitly, then WTF. Tell them you'll see them in court.

By the way, almost every company, at least once a year, is a POS company. If it's more often than that, it's time to get a new job.

That is exactly the same thing I thought when she informed me about the action that Delta was taking and her suspension. I have yet to see anything on her site that would warrant Delta Airlines to respond in such a way, obviously there is more to this story than just this... When I was a Delta employee I had a site as well so what gives?.

Regardless I do not envy the position that she is in present day.

You read correctly, I said "black" MD-88 goof ball and if he was white I would have said "white" goof ball and if he was purple I would have said "purple" goof ball.. Get the idea?. It was not meant to be racist in any way shape or form. It was your brilliant assumption to label me as a "racist son of a bitch" which I am far from. You coming off of a hard 4 day or something?.
