Position will supplement the level 5 Flight Safety position already staffed at Patuxent River. The selected Flight Safety Engineer will be responsible for assisting in all flight safety activities at the LM Aero NAS Patuxent River facility. The scope of the position includes providing safety assistance of daily flight test operations; performing test hazard analyses and proposing risk mitigation measures; assisting with the coordination of System Safety, Flight Test Safety, Flight Safety and Chief Engineer inputs to ensure proper implementation and documentation of the Integrated Test Force safety procedures and AOLs; and assist, when necessary, JSF flight test activities at Fort Worth and Edwards AFB. The position must have aircrew experience, preferably as a pilot in fighter/attack aircraft, as well as training from a recognized aviation safety training facility.
