United Airlines Flight Diverted to Denver

DENVER (AP) -- A passenger who claimed to have a bomb aboard a United Airlines flight was subdued by passengers as the California-bound plane was diverted to Denver International Airport, airport officials said.
Two F-16 fighter jets from Buckley Air Force Base scrambled to escort the plane as it flew into Denver Friday, according to Lt. Commander Sean Kelly, a spokesman for NORAD.

"They followed to make sure nothing untoward was going to happen," he said.

Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight
gonna grab some afternoon delight.
My motto's always been; when it's right, it's right.
Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night.
When everything's a little clearer in the light of day.
And you know the night is always gonna be there any way.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite
looking forward to a little afternoon delight.
Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite
and the thought of rubbin' you is getting so exciting.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Started out this morning feeling so polite
I always though a fish could not be caught who wouldn't bite
But you've got some bait a waitin' and I think I might try nibbling
a little afternoon delight.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Please be waiting for me baby when I come around.
We could make a lot of lovin' 'for the sun goes down.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Remember the 70's, when all you had to worry about was getting your girlfriend pregnant and making payments on your leviathan of a car?

Yeah, you don't want anything untoward happening up there.
I guess while I was reading this article of the deviation, all I could think about was when the air marshals shot that dude with the back pack.

Had this flight gotten "untoward", all them people on board that flight might as well have been wearing back packs backwards and hollering. Because they would have all paid the price. It's a stretch for a correlation, but it's my thoughts and you can take em for what they are worth.

The end game is this, because the marshals could assume there could be a bomb on the plane, they could be justified in shooting the retard with the back pack. Because the NORAD marshals could assume there was a bomb on this plane, they could assume shooting it down, should something "untoward" happen.

I'm beginning to see a pattern, we can assume that bombs can get on planes.

I'm not spouting off anti-government yakkity yak here, I'm just saying that it reflects badly on our ability to ensure safety.

Considering the TSA has failed just about every bomb test thrown at them, it wouldn't be of any surprise...

I think integrity can be had, but we're not going to like what the process holds for us.
