Unfortunately the body was found...great guy - I knew him personally. Another brother in arms lost...

AP) The body of a pilot whose F-15 fighter jet crashed into the Pacific Ocean has been recovered, the Oregon Air National Guard said Wednesday.

The remains were nearly 40 miles west of Cannon Beach, which is on the northern end of the Oregon coast, the Guard said in a statement.

It did not say when the body had been found. The pilot was not immediately identified.

Former Langley guy? I didn't know him....or his bio.

A tragic loss none the less.....

I don't think that tune is appropriate at this time....

Airspace is usually 1k to 50k. Fight floors can be set by the flight lead based on training rules. Usually a 5k or 10k floor for BFM or ACM. Large force stuff and ACT (2 v 2, 2 v x, 4 v4, or greater) often fight to a 500 or 1000 foot floor.

Press is reporting airspace boundries--that is all....

God Speed. . .Like I always say about flying fatalities; I would rather die doing something I love than from a bad case of the nut cancer. .

That's what I figured. They made it sound like they were fighting down at 1K'. We usually run with a 5K hard deck, 10K soft.
