Jeez, you step away for the weekend and come back to a full board.

OK, lawn darts can turn, Phoeny Bombs (Phoenix) can burn, but I have to admit the best comment ever came from a helo shipmate during a CSAR brief on my first cruise: "You jet boys talk a big game but you all look the same coming up the rope. Wet, cold and scared."

I'm not going to go too far out on a limb in comparing numbers on a 30+ year old airframe with what's coming off the line now, but the Turkey is a pretty good old bird and if you want to compare numbers on sheer size and power for a fighter - from the AWG-9 in the nose to the blower in the back, it's a pretty impressive piece of machinery. But then so are a lot of others if you're into JP and jet noise. The newer ones just have better toys onboard.

Fun thread that has nothing to do with it's title. Thanks for the memories.

I see Obi-Wan has taught you well....
Seriously though, remember that no matter what you may end up flying - you ended up FLYING. Good luck at OCS and as a SNA.
