Does anyone know if the Extra 300 is an experimental airplane or not? Does anyone on the board have any time in a 200/300?

None are expiermental that I know of, but there are a few that are no where near the original planes.

I know a couple of owners that showed me small garbage bag of metallic shavings, they said they shaved it off thier Extras.

I can ask someone that was one of the first importers, if you are really that intrested?

The 200S+, 230, 300XS, and 330L are not certified in the US although some were pending certification before Extra discontinued production of aerobatic aircraft. The 300XS and 330L use the 350 HP Lycoming AEIO-580 which is still not a certified engine and the reason for the lack of certification.

The rest are certified including 200, 300, 300L and 300S

PM me if you hanve any a/c specific questions
