The 72 was 20 TAS slower and climbed out a lot slower then the 500. But it was alot more fun to fly out of EWR.

Really? I never flew the 500 so I'm just talkin smack. We'd cruise it out over 300 TAS though. I didn't realize the 500 did more.

Outa EWR though that was fun. Once as an FO we took off 29 with the winds about 280@30. We were going VFR but in the turn over the lady the captain realized we had too much wind to make the turn without hitting the WTC. He starts yelling "ASK FOR THE EAST RIVER NOW!!!!" The good ol days..

And Captain X.........thats what beer is for:D
