when you hear the media talk about a booming freight business, what they really mean is only the major international freight carriers I guess..

The Menlo lift is still going to occur, just with a new source. Hopefully UPS will continue to hire next year creating overall better jobs with more security. Unfortunately this is just business and the contractors knew it wasn't going to last forever when they got involved. They made a nice couple of bucks during the run and now that it's over it's time to get rid of the overhead if they can't substitute the contracts. It sucks but how many ACMI carriers have maintained steady growth? None of this is permanent.
