when you apply you apply to a job ID number. If you go to my workbench, there should be a number on the left hand side saying what Job ID number you applied too. I applied to number 1904. That's that I"m asking.

We were supposed to bring on an incredible 900 new hires this year, so your odds are strong.... however there is a rumbling of instructor furloughs at the training department that may indicate a hiring slow down.

The current upgrade bid is out with another 80 slots due to begin training through March '08. So I don't quite understand any slow down unless the OE Captains are significantly backlogged or renewing thier MEI's for the student pilots who we are apparently hiring.

(Just kidding, they have real licenses just no flight experience)

Not march the bid said for those upgrades to EXPECT an upgrade class in Nov or Dec. The March date is just a back up saying all will have been trained by that time.

C,
I'm glad you're here to straighten out all of the BS. D***, there is alot of gossip going around. I'll tell you one thing, you've got it about 99.9% right.

ALB-EWR will probably an easy commute via plane/car. Plus, the Q400 will have a nice jumpseat and never MTOW restricted.

Easy to do by car. Takes me about 2.5hrs from airport to airport. Less time than going through security, checking in, and waiting out the delays.

I was wondering if the Q400 was going to be put on the route. Do you know it will for sure?

4 Weeks and counting ...nothing yet...did they quit hiring with the instructors being put back on the line???
Also anyone know if Mike Caudell or Joe Bliss still work there?

Still no class date here. I know my background stuff has been completed, so that's not holding me up. From what I hear November will be the next class and it will be a small one. Not sure what the status of interviews is.

We are slowing down the hiring through December (did the same thing last year). We are expected to hire about 700-800 next year. It will pick back up in January 08. We are still short on f/o's and losing 40 captains a month. You will get called, just be patient.

Have a friend that got the e-mail yesterday for an interview in October. Less than a week since he applied.
