They wanna grab cash. I'd guess that they think that ExpressJet is ripe for a buyout or a merger.

They have a 6% stake in the company yet want 20%(I think we have 10 members on the BOD) of the control. They can nominate BOD members all day long, doesnt mean they will get elected.

Hayman's best buddy Mark Hart of Corriente Advisors has another 6%. In total they control at least 13%.
