When did you get hired? I know for a "Fact" that some of these guys have been RATing over and over again and are getting the boot.

10/11. We had four RAT once and out of those four, two had a second round; but all are finished OE and out on the line. These guys all had 1,000+ hours too. I think it was the glass cockpit and higher performance that were factors.

Can somebody answer what the major differences are between the 134-145? Do you have differences training between the two? Do they fly different?

Ben, you are a serious tool. I will thank my lucky stars every time I go to work that I don't have to fly with you.

Wow Ben,

Maybe someday I too can be a jaded, self-important pompous tool who goes around anonymously insulting his coworkers in public as they shouldn't be entitled to their views when they don't align with your obviously superior and perfect world view.

Glad I was able to provide you with a laugh Ace, you have a GREAT day.

You train in the 145 in Houston--The first time I touched a 135 was on line after IOE. Its really no big deal, the airplanes fly the same they just land a little different.

The 135s climb better than the 145 ER/LRs (same power less weight), probably on par as the XRs climb performance wise.

There is not difference system wise its just legnth, systems, engines are pretty much the same.

Thanks. Looks like the 135/145XR are the hotrod's of the fleet then.:)

135 = B-Scale

Correct. As a 135 Captain, you are paid several dollars less per hour to fly the 135 than you are to fly the 145 (since it is smaller by 13 seats). However, when you fly the 145, you are paid the 145 rate. As an FO, you are paid the 145 rate regardless of what airplane you fly. The number of 135 captain positions is limited to the number of 135 airframes on property however.
