This is a question for the guys/gals that have done some expat work. I am looking for some help with a game plan for negotiations in working overseas. I will be based in Berlin, Germany. Initially when I interviewed I asked for everything thinking I didn't have a shot at the job, now I've been selected as a finalist. What are some of the things you should be getting in your contract such as family relocation, health benefits, salary in dollars( do you tie it into the Euro?) severance pay, etc. Any help, however crazy it may seem, would be greatly appreciated. I also will be typed in an aircraft I have no experience in. Should the dreaded contract come up, what type of clauses should I have included beyond the usual stated salary and job description, and length of terms to protect me.
