Well according to Netjets, $39,000/year is competitive for an Excel Captain. Hah. That place is a joke.
I hope those union boys get every penny they deserve. A rising tide lifts all boats.

I think the latest salary survey I saw (I think it was pro pilot), said average Excel salary (non-fractional operator) was 85k.

You guys will be proud of me then. Texas Excel operator wanted me for 50K a year. I would be an untyped F/O with no set days off. I would be required to do "F/O Duties" in addition to my flying. Some days 8 legs and some days none. Lots of time from home.

For 100K I would consider it but not 50K!!!

I couldn't agree with you more! Heck, you can fly Turboprops for 65k, 50k is a joke. And 'other duties' is definitely a no no.

Wings Level Fellaws.

Airbaker is right on target with the daily rate for an excel captain, $500 a day plus expenses is the going rate out west. As far as salary, 80K-90K for a part 91 Captain position, no management duties is about right. Bump it up quite a bit for CP duties.
