i filled out the questionare online in late nov. and talked to them that day. should i fax a resume to them? and should i be expecting another call from them, besides the invite call in for the interview?

I did the same in the beginning of November and still haven't been called. I have plenty of time to work there. The Peoplescout program says my Ref# does not exist. Called four weeks ago and they said they had my name on file. I don't know what to think...

you mean you called them that day? It has been the same for almost everyone. You apply....you wait 2-8weeks...they call for your resume....they give you a phone interview....then you interview. There is a lot of people IN THE SAME BOAT. Word is they are going to call people in the new year.

Make sure and stress the fact that you have a private license. It's their minimums now. They'll get you your commercial rating during training.

Peoplescout

The people at Peoplescout are the dumbest F@ckin' Idiots on this planet. They don't know sh!t from doodoo. I ask them a simple question and their only response is "I don't know sir but a senior recruiter will call you if they have any further questions or once they have reviewed your application"

Hey you guys need to chill out......They are not doing any calls or interviews until the beginning of January. When they start calling, they are going from those who originally applied online in October and work there way down the list.

In short....You will hear something from them just be patient. Remember, they have thousands of qualified applicants who applied online, it's gonna take time to go through them all.

over and over and over

I wonder how many times the exact same thing can be posted on expressjet about their minimums, hiring status, application, etc.

Lets just say they have thousands of applicants who meet the mins.. Qualified is a differnet story..

Not that I'm super senior but my first private student passed his checkride before some of those newhires even started to fly. That's fine, they got their resume in before I did. All I want to know is whether that Peoplescout outfit works or not. Do people fall through the cracks? Do I need to resubmit my stuff or not? Valid questions here.

You can only apply online on Peoplescout once every 3 months. So if you're like 5 hours shy of 100 multi, wait until you get 100 before you apply. Once you apply, you can only update your contact info. Not sure if anyone falls through the cracks, but when I call, they don't seem to know what is going on. Hope this helps.

Or you could just say you have 100 hours and buy 5 hours after they call you.

Good idea. So when HR checks your logbooks against your application date, they can find out you lied and send you packing. Which has happened.

That sure would be a bad reason to get sent home! BTW how long do you think it will take to upgrade Flychicaga?

after you apply online, it's a waiting game. They are not doing any more interviews for the rest of the year due to holidays but will pick back up again in Jan. When you apply online, they can take like anywhere from 4-8 weeks to call you back. That's when they'll ask you to fax in a resume. Afterwards, they'll call you back again and do a phone interview and from there if you do good, you'll get invited down for an interview. I applied online and they called me about 7 weeks later. Don't even bother calling the number you get when you apply online. Just relax, if you meet the minimums, you'll get a call sooner or later... XJT is looking to hire about 600 in 2005. Good luck.

I guess since I put my resume in with peoplescout on Oct. 5 and have not yet heard, I should probably give up.... Its been well over 8weeks..... seems as if that is the max everyone is talking about ....

Would updating my resume maybe "resurface" it in the database?
