Lol, pretty good posts in there. :)

Don't worry. We are not offended by your gay friends at VATSIM. We are just glad their fat wives allow them 4-5 hours a day to protect the airspace on the internet from midairs.

LOL well I woudn't know about vatsim as the link was sent to me for a laugh. But you have obviously just outed yourself as some of the GIA scum if you take offense to that.

Get a grip, it's funny. And if you can't take the fact that the company your work for is an industry joke well then maybe you should have thought about ti first before you payed to play.

I'm curious to know, how does a 1st year FO with GIA pay bills living of $17/hr x 75hrs per month = $1275 not including taxes

SFLA Is not cheap place to live any more........

Embry Riddle ripping on Gulfstream? The Pot calling the Kettle black?

I want my 3 minutes back, since that damn VATSIM forum frozen firefox for nearly 3 minutes, and reading that was rather boring.

VATSIM can be cool, as long as you don't have to deal with dorks, and self proclaimed know it alls.

.

No it's not cheap at all. I can hardly live on CPT salary. But F/Os do get perdiem and about 90-100 hours a month. So its a little more than that.

The Russian said, "I did not pay-to-play."

What would you call it?

I would call it either a "learning experience" or "internship". Nobody is playing games here. We take our jobs very seriously. Most of the FO's are very professional and quite good at piloting.

From dictionary.com:

job n.
 1. A regular activity performed in exchange for payment, especially as one's trade, occupation, or profession.
in·tern also in·terne n.
 1. A student or a recent graduate undergoing supervised practical training.

And what's your point? That would make sense. We do take our jobs very seriosly. Captains and hired F/O's are compensated. Probies are compensated to meet regulations so they can occupy the seat. They are interns. They are recent graduates learning the ropes of a large aircraft and how an airline works. It is a great training system.

So you guys actually flying people around yet, or still cutting through the skies with empty airplanes?

"Even thought Spartan isn't as well known, they have excellent pilot schools, a top notch A & P program as well as Avionics."HAHAHAHAHA! Did you guys read that!
