100LL... Again points out that there is more potential to be significantly low on an approach with a HAT of 900' than on one with a HAT of 350'. That’s why many operators find it most practical to use a table with various temps & heights for quick estimates. A table would give 350' HAT + 40 feet at -20C while 900' HAT would get +120'
A typical rule of thumb for strong winds are:
Wind 30 kts or stronger - add 500' per 10 kts. Max correction is 2000'. This is for minimum altitudes enroute and transitions - not for landing minima.
