I know this has been broought up before but with newer headsets such as the telex 850 being around I thought I'd ask again. Does anyone have a light weight (not bose, I'm thinking of one of the smaller ones) noise canceling headset that they're happy with? I've heard people talk about using earplugs and all different combinations of things to make the headset work but I'm really interested in a headset I can just throw on thats going to do the job. Is there such a thing?

Check out pantherelectronics.com. I'm running a 60 day trial period less the 60 bucks for the ear molds.

If I were you I would wait and see what others around you are flying. It ranges from complex setups like the T5x5 with 2 tubes, multiple plugs for the chimes, and a blowhole and a tube for hydration pack, to wearing earmuffs....Don't rush out and splurge. Most of the peeps I fly with use the Clarks... I got a telex anr that I don't even use the anr part. But I have had that since brasilia days. Trust me unless you have ultra dog like sensitive ears then your money would be better spent at the bar on a layover.
