This is something I realized tonight while looking at cockpit photos of ERJ 145s. In picture 1: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/181384/L/
, there appears to be 3 backup vacuum instruments next to CRT #2, with the nav/com screens mounted on the center console. But, in picture 2: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/458200/L/ , there are no vacuum instruments, and the radio stack is mounted next to CRT #2, with what appears to be an FMS where the nav/com radios we're on pic 1. I was just curious as to why there are 2 different versions
And what version do most US airlines operate?
