ERJ-145, 2 different cockpits?

This is something I realized tonight while looking at cockpit photos of ERJ 145s. In picture 1: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/181384/L/
, there appears to be 3 backup vacuum instruments next to CRT #2, with the nav/com screens mounted on the center console. But, in picture 2: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/458200/L/ , there are no vacuum instruments, and the radio stack is mounted next to CRT #2, with what appears to be an FMS where the nav/com radios we're on pic 1. I was just curious as to why there are 2 different versions :confused: And what version do most US airlines operate?
 
basically like new and old versions, they're what EMB calls mark 1 and mark 2 cockpits. CHQ has both
 
The original models have single FMS and the RMU's are below the EICAS. The newer versions have Dual FMS and the Standby instruments have been replaced by an ISIS, thereby providing more room for the RMU's to be placed next to the EICAS. At least that what we have here at Express.

I JS'd on a Mesa ERJ the other day, and while getting cleared, was told by the Capt. that the aircraft was brand new, only 5 hours on it, fresh from Brazil. It had a single FMS, the RMU's below the EICAS (in the center panel) and no ISIS, but instead the stand-by attitude and altimeter.
