I will be starting at ExpressJet in two week and I am shopping around for a flight bag. Could someone post the measurement of the flight bag holder on the ERJ 135 /145.

I would like to get a bag with outside pockets on the ends but I want to make sure that it will fit.

Thanks,

SJFLYER

Not sure of the exact dimensions of the "box," but my brainbag is 17.75"L X 7.5" W measured on the outside, and fits with maybe an inch of room length-wise. I wouldn't go much over 18.5" for the length...the width is just about a perfect fit...for the ones that actually have a "box" -- aside from the one in the back serving you drinks.

Buy the 30 dollar bag at Office Depot and spend the rest of your money on uplinked WX radar pictures to your cell-phone, because the radar in the embraer does not work!

I use the Samsonite ballistic nylon flight bag and it fits well in the ERJ. Lightweight and tough. The only drawback...no stickers like the guys with the leather bags.

lol.... no kiddin

Just about any flight case should fit. Mine always falls off that POS shelf anyways. Don't you just love how they put that awesome velcro strap in there so you can wrap that around your bag? LOL

get patches for your ballistic nylon bags......
they take alot longet to put on rather than stickers....but hey, theyre patches!

funny, flying horses, that's the one I have too. Unfortunately, it's the same one that Office Depot had a few years ago for forty bucks. Now Samsonite has it's name on it and is costs more than double. Go figure. Anyone know if Heritage Cases still makes this same one that Samsonite does? I'd like to get a new one, and I like the roll locks, but I wish it was much cheaper.

Are the XJT guys showing up at training with flight bags or are they buying them after they get there?

Scott Leather. I love this bag. Had a few Office Depot ones, but handles kept breaking after a few months. I want a bag that will last a while.

Bring your own or take a look at the Stopover Store at the Marriot, they sell some quality bags for less than $200. Some guys opt for the Office Depot special but remember you get what you pay for...

Go for the most expensive one out there. You'll be able to afford it with the Comair+10% they just got for you....
