ERAU Distance Learning classes

I only need a few more classes for my prof. aeronautics degree and wondered if anyone had any recomendations as far as what classes to take. I can choose anything from the professional development electives so if anyone knows of some easy classes from there, I'd appreciate the heads up.

I graduated yesterday!!
To answer your question though, check and see how many safety classes you have already. It worked out for me that I got a minor in Aviation Safety, and an aviation safety certificate just by taking the last couple of electives I needed in the sfty section.
Looks good on the resume maybe?

if you want the path of least resistence take the aero physiology. at least when i took it there was no homework involved. only two tests and one of them was an internet exam.

I enjoyed aircraft accident investigation. The class kept you interested and I really enjoyed learning about what happens during an investigation. Good Luck!

While we are on the topic of ERAU Distance Learning, I wouldnt mind hearing some oppinions from those who are enrolled or graduated. I'm planning to enroll this winter after i finish with my flight instruction.

I'm stuck in requisite hell....hafta take PS102, MA111, and the financial accounting to graduate.

I hate math and oner the internet, it's a friggin' nightmare.

Hate to piggy back on this thread, but I will anyways.

I just enrolled this month in the Distance Learning B.S. Professional Aeronautics program. Have a few questions if you guys wouldn't mind answering.

What are the pros and cons of the program?

Looking to finish the degree as fast as I can. I am currently Commercial Multi-engine rated and a CFII. I believe I will be credited up to 34 credits. Is there anway else of receiving credits for prior experience?

Any tips on what professors to avoid or to try and get?

Is it difficult to carry a 4 class load during the 12 week term while employed ful time as a pilot?

It's new to me so any info would be greatly appreciated!

And others out there in the same situation...... Any thought to testing out via CLEP or Dantes? A whole lotta info can be found here. www.bain4weeks.com i'm in the process of testing out of some of my riddle classes. Sure goes a lot faster and more importantly saves major $$$$

What are the pros and cons of the program?

I finished my MAS degree using the distant learning program. I thought it was a good program and reasonably priced.

The only con I can think of is how the terms run. Unless they changed it, the DL semesters ran into each other. New semesters would start every 8 weeks, but they were 12 week semesters. You would have that 4 week overlap where if you were taking 4 classes, you had 8 to deal with for the last/first month.

I have 93 credits from CLEP/DSST's from when I was active duty (I'm a good test-taker...took them cold)

Still hafta get those elusive credits that MUST come from ERAU. I have over 150 credits...just trying to backfill holes. The contemporary european history clep didn't really help me get my degree, but it did get me out of work one afternoon!
