There are some people at my company that think you do not need a high-performance endorsement in your logbook if you were checked out in a high-perfomance airplane at the company. They claim that since the company is part 135, there are company records showing they were checked out in those airplanes. I haven't heard of such a thing.

If you are flying a high performance airplane, Part 135 not withstanding, then you must have a high performance endorsement. This is not necessary if you have logged PIC time in a high performance airplane prior to August 4, 1997. Otherwise, you need the endorsement.

A form 8410 doesn't take the place of an endorsement, nor do any authorizations or privileges under Part 135.

What is the resistance at your company to providing the endorsement?

Avbug- There is no resistance at the company for providing the endorsement; just some people that think a 135 checkout counts as the endorsement.

Does that count for 121 as well??
