Endless Summer II

In the movie "Endless Summer II'',there is what I think is a Grumman Goose that is severely damaged while landing on a river or bay. I just happen to catch the last 2 seconds of it and I know the movie is fairly old. Anybody know anything about it?

I don't have anything useful to add, but that is a wild landing he makes. One wing in the sand and 180 on to the beach, nice! I wouldn't want to fly the next leg with that guy.

I have heard rumors that that was an actual plane crash dubbed into the movie. I don't know how true that is or where it happened/who was involved in the crash. Notice the n-number is blurred out. If anyone knows what is up with that scene fill us in please.

That's one of the best movies of all time, but only a true surfer could stand to sit through it.

You guys know the scene where they go to the safari drive thru in that little blue buggy they had in South Africa? The guy that they talk to in the beginning of the scene (the owner of that park) was eaten by lions a few years ago. Pretty crazy!

I am sippin on some Cafe Britt right now as well, ahhh! I love the scene at the airport in Tamarindo, CR where they are trying to get the livestock off the gravel strip. I have watched them do it before from the terminal (ie. one bench under a sketchy roof, no walls).
