Winning a judgment v. executing on it

That is what happened in my case, they didn't show up for court! I won. The judge just asked how much do I want? He also said I would have won requardless. This is your best bet unless it exceeds $5,000. If you don't show up then they win!
The judge might enter judgment but it becomes up to you to execute on it, i.e. making them pay. You, or your lawyer, will have to run an assets check. They could be judgment-proof, meaning they have no assets to liquidate to pay you. If that is the case, than you are SOL. But you should still try. The Court can gave you writs of assistance, etc., which are a form of court order to help you collect on your judgment.

Good luck. They have to pay you if you worked for them.
