4 hours!?!? That would definately suck.
It sucks if you are a passenger, but for the pilots, one Bakersfield turn and you're timed out for the day...quite productive. Ask any DC-9 pilot if they can do one turn worth 8 hours.

Now that's what I call "regional" flying.

I did one of the bakersfield turns. we burned 9500 off with taxi and enroute reroute. 3:25 enroute with 30 mins of taxi, mostly in IAH. coming back burned 8600 with taxi and enroute(3:00). Day trip blocked at 7:27. Still at fl350 going past PSP. Long flight.

yep long way for a regional

I did the BFL overnight last week and the westbound was a total of 4:20....3:50 airborne with 2600lbs in the tanks left after 13000 onboard on the ramp in IAH!

Oh God! I'm not looking forward to that turn, I have a 2:30 hour arse and this is exceeding my limitation by a huge amount!

Hi,

Does anybody know of any websites for the ERJ with good walkaround and other detail photos?

I'm asking because I'm an avid modeller and one my projects is the Welsh Models EMB-145 in 1/144th scale. I'm looking to scratchbuild the gear.

Thanks.

modification to do .80?
Stronger trim motors to over come possible aerodynamic forces and moving up the redline via a sofware mod. Its a great AC, real nice performance too.

Wow, that is some difference for landing weight. 53131-44092=9039 worth of burn. That would suck for short flights.

In comparison, the CRJ is 53000 MTW with a MLW of 47000. A little more manageable...and it still sucks sometimes.

Just wait until all airlines are forced by the FAA to adjust the pax weights like Comair and DCI have had to. 195 for all pax and 30.5 for bags. Makes it even tougher.

I have heard talk of trying to increase the MLW of the RJ to offer some relief.

It's not that much of a restriction. The typical plane has a typical BOW of 29000 lb. Given a typical full pax and bag load of 11000 lb, that only takes you up to 40000. And you still have room for 4000 lb of fuel over destination.

Use the company provided "little john".

I think our company gets a discount from Sporty's.

If it's MEL'd, you're screwed.

Sincerely,

B. Franklin
