Notice the lack of damage to the 747? I see a scrape on the winglet and not much else.

What a superbly built RJ...cough...cough.

Thats not an ATR, its not stressed for a tail wind. When an airplane is designed and built, its not stressed for that type of stress in a normal operating environment. If you want a tank, go fly an Abrams.

Get some high speed FAA approved duct tape to fix that right up. Make sure its the white stuff though, not the non FAA approved gray stuff. That would never work.

"Dziss iss not posssibelle!!!"

Good thing that those Air France guys were in an rj instead of an airbus-if they had been in an airbus it would have been their fault!

<< A Thai 747 was taxiing on a taxiway open to aircraft not bigger than an A321 >>

What the heck was the 747 doing there in the first place? Just seems like gross negligence to me especially when the wingtip is clearly extending over that red line.

A 747 is bigger than an A321?

Seriously though, if there was no note to that effect, the crew need only maintain centerline. Some airplanes you cannot see the wingtip from the cockpit. It is wise to keep vigilant of your surroundings, however.
