The new 737 of the industry. Maybe a good time to buy some Embraer stock! Boeing's going to have to there $hit together!

Umm... not yet.

Reliability is anything but good so far. The 190 is the CRJ of this decade. Exciting possiblities but has yet to be proven over time.

You are correct about that size of plane, however the 190 is far from being a major player in the industry yet.

Teething problems are common with ANY airframe. Even the ubiquitous 737 had problems early on. So did the ERJ. Those have been squared away.

Don't worry about it. The 190 is going to rule the world with pilots flying it for 10 bucks an hour.... :( By the time that happens none of us will probably care any more. We'll have moved on to a higher paying job bagging groceries.

Great airplane though.

As far as the 10 dollar/hour. You can thank Exxon, Mobil, and Regional Airline Academies for that.

Well, with the proliferation of dollar stores and 99 cents menus at fast food restaurants, $10/hr can go pretty far!!!!

No, they simply cater to markets. The blame lies in large part with us pilots.

Why? Because we allow it? It's out of my control. Our unions are purposely trying to be weakened.

RAAs have nothing to do with it.

Pilots have EVERYTHING to do with it for having no balls.

People can say what they want but I voted no on our "F***-The-F/Os-With-Sh**y-Pay" contract every time it came up. Sadly, the last time only about 11 other people voted with me.

*THAT* is why we're in this position. And it has been going on for decades.

Meanwhile the "management team" gets more and more and more and more.

Who the heck do you think the Union is? The UNION is the PILOT GROUP. And the pilot group has no stones.

Why should they? Look at Comair? They had stones and fought for something only to have their knees cut out from under them. Now they're giving it all back...and losing flying left and right.
