it was out of GSO today, not sure where the XR flies from there. I wish I had a camera with me, but it was a noticeable trail.
 
Contrail off of the aileron maybe. Humid days like today you will see a contrail from the aileron with a deflection even tough no contrail from the wing tip. I have seen it many times when riding in the back
 
Fuel can and does on occasion vent from the flame suppresser (small metal meshed hole) under the wing. I have seen this once or twice. It never seems to last very long.
 
Embrear has been looking into venting issues on ER's and LR's. The flapper valve sticks open when the aircraft is full of gas. Not sure if this is true of the XR as well. Had it happen once MEM to MIA. Stopped after about a minute.

The fuel tank vent valves are notorious for premature failures. XJT has had several unscheduled replacements and Embraer has issued several service bulletins on the subject.
