Nice hangar. I think they've got three GIV's (not the newest from what I've been told) but they look like they're in great shape.

I believe starting pay is around $60-70k and you move up to CA when someone dies. :(

Lilly's has had a flight department since the 60's and overall is a great company. (I don't know about the flight department but I've not heard of any turnover.)

Anyone have any info?
planes?
QOL?
pay, flight time? etc

thanks

A friend of mine has been there several years and is still an FO. I've been through the hangar and it is a realy nice operation. The company slowed way down on flying and really put the screws to the budget. 3 G IV's with a good amount of international. A good group with almost no turnover!

The GII tip tank they used to own belonged to a museum rather than the flightline. Bare wires under the trailing edge and wheel wells, annunciators that lit up like a christmas tree in flight, and a lavatory door that ejected over TX during a sortie; probably decapitating a cow along the way... It was a mess. I hope their G4s get better mx than this thing used to.

All legacy flight departments have there issues. Or what the older generation refers to as " the good ole days". The simple fact is that Corporate aviation has gone through alot of changes to align its self with the safety standards of the airline industry, and still has the flexability to get the job done. I'm sure Lilly is a top notch flight department with alot of experience. It's a big wheel to turn when trying to make changes is a 20-25 year old flight department, but changes for the better are being embraced. I flew for a few airlines with horrible maintenace they are no better. Infact, no airline mx can match the crew chief system used in corporate aviation. The techs have an almost intimate knowledge of the aircraft we fly.
