All legacy flight departments have there issues. Or what the older generation refers to as " the good ole days". The simple fact is that Corporate aviation has gone through alot of changes to align its self with the safety standards of the airline industry, and still has the flexability to get the job done. I'm sure Lilly is a top notch flight department with alot of experience. It's a big wheel to turn when trying to make changes is a 20-25 year old flight department, but changes for the better are being embraced. I flew for a few airlines with horrible maintenace they are no better. Infact, no airline mx can match the crew chief system used in corporate aviation. The techs have an almost intimate knowledge of the aircraft we fly.
