Okay, getting clearer, but still not clear. Are you talking about running jeppview, or downloading updates for your onboard equipment?

I'm running Jeppview on the laptop I'm using as I type this, and it works just fine, with Vista as the operating system. There must be more than just a chart viewer here, if you're talking laptop.

Ok...the whole problem exists in getting updates. Jeppview runs fine and Jeppsum runs fine. But getting the actual updates to download (either over the net or via cd) is incredibly difficult in both cases.

Jeppesen has had a lot of troubles with their online updating. They've been somewhat overwhelmed by the amount of use involved. In the meantime, if you want to update and transfer the information to your onboard equipment, you're going to have to use something with an XP base. Surely you've got a laptop or desk top in-house there somewhere with XP on it?

Jeppview, Flitestar, And JIFP (Internet Flight Planner) working 99% here on vista. Only thing that don't work is the weather on Flitestar but works on Internet Flight Planner and will Import to Flitestar.
