Nothin' beats Chico's Tacos after a good night in the bar.
Just about any place is good mexican food as long as its not a nationwide chain.
The steak at Cattlemans is awesome....
Another good place for brisket is STATE LINE.
Used to have all you could eat for $20.00 ish but thats been a few years.

Cattle Barron

There is a pretty good restraunt right outside the airport. Cattle Barron. If your pressed for time. They have a huge salad bar and some great steaks. Next would be Cattleman's. There are some good place to eat. It's kind of a sad town. I use to fly in and out of there a lot. Everyone always seems to walk around with their head down...depressing place.

You can go to Des Moines and eat steak. I want some Mexicun food near the border...AND, I want to see a donkey show! ;) :D TC

That's "Mess-kin" if yer from these here parts. Or Mojados ("Mo-hows") for short.

La Pablanito... quick ride from the airport.. awesome burritos.. or go down the street to one of the juice shacks for watermelon or cantelope juice and a torta. good stuff.

Made it to Cattleman's, Carlos and Mickey's, and The Cattle Baron-- all good!

Thanks for the recommendations!

carnitas queretaro is a great mexican place to eat. Take Airway to I-10 and then go east til you see it on the north side of I-10.

Took your word for it and ate there. Only so,so and no Margaritas, just beeer.

Cattlr Baron gets my vote, right in front of the Hawthorne Inn about 1/4mi down from the airport exit. Great Salad bar and even better steaks!!

Looks like the food angle has been adequately covered, for entertainment, Juarez is always good for a little vertical refreshment and some good 'ole fashion street violence.

Laredo

Laredo is in Texas. Nuevo Laredo is in Mexico. The Donkey show there is not as good as the one in Tijuana. I love to watch El Burro de amore'. If you got down there mention my name... and pay your DUES.
