A G650 sounds good. I've done the trip in an F model Cobra and that left a lot to be desired....

Get to the "5" Freeway north.. head towards Sacramento getting near the mountains, get in right hand lanes ready to bear right on the "14" freeway to Palmdale / Lancaster.. go about 45 miles and you will be in Palmdale.. stay on the 14 north towards Rosamond Ca.. about 20 miles.. the exit to the main Edwards gate will be to your right.. then another 16 miles to the Gate..

All in All its about 85 miles LAX to Edwards.. Enjoy.. totally different climate than the LA Basin, Thank God unless you don't like sand, wind and 40 degree day/night temp swings..
