Folks,

Our flight department is considering adding an airplane for short 300-400 nm missions. We have been tossing around TBM 700/850 and Pilatus PC-12. I know the data on these airplanes but there seems to be a lack of REAL numbers on performance and costs of the EA50.

I know the sales info but what do you real operators have to say? What are the issues? Any achillies heels? What don't you like? What do you like? Can we put 6 people in it and go anywhere? Are there CG issues if we do this? What is the REAL DOC?

For starters, if you are talking taking 6 people anywhere, forget the Eclipse or the TBM unless they are 1)extremely close friends, 2) want to be extremely close friends, 3) do not want to leave the immediate vacinity, 4) do not have any communible deseases. The Pilatus is the one that has the room, reasonable speed, and can actually go somewhere.

Actually it CAN GO ANYWHERE..if its 1500 ft long I love the 12

I would suggest contacting their sales departments and getting a live demo flight - ask all your questions and look at the a/c manual. By the end of each visit and flight, you'll have all the answers you need - good luck!
