Here is some more,
I love the one that I AM NOT MAN ENOUGH TO HANDLE THE ATR.
"As has been stated before, changing scope so Eagle can fly the 190's isn't our fight to fight, at least not alone. It is up to AMR to be the pointy end of the spear on this issue. We should back them up both now and in bankruptcy court."
---------------------------------
"If their Union wants to pitch this to Management, why doesn't our Union field a counter proposal that is 1%less pay and 1%less than the retirment benefits they get......Management only knows one language $$$$$$$. Sounds like APA is stuck on $200K a year to work 11 days a month...they have to change their view of reality."
-----------------------------------
"Here is my proposal, my bottom line (educated guess on what APA and AMR would accept and decline). Please realize this is a new agreement outside of our contract and Letter 3/Supplement W:
1. AMR buys us 200 EMB-195's. Result: AA retires 200 MD-80's. We gain 2000 seats (1000 CA), APA loses 2000 seats (furloughs and displacements). We concede 500 CA seats to APA, but only what their seniority can hold as CA's. If it was purely up to me that would include SJU ATR’s but since they aren't manly enough to handle those beasts, we may have to concede jets only.
2. This pact holds our FO's down from a career path, so
A. All Eagle FO's receive Saab CA pay minus one dollar after 5 years. That’s $47.38 under current pay scale.
B. All EMB-190/195 FO's receive the same pay regardless of longevity.
3. 401(k) Corporate America standard. You know, just like real people have. Like Southwest Airlines."
-------------------------------------
"we, through ALPA, need to step up to the plate and make OUR offer to AMR. We shouldn't just stand around and let APA call the shots. The future of AMR domestic flying IS EAGLE, and we should let the company know that it is in their best interest to give the flying to us!"
--------------------------------------
"Delay, delay, delay until 2007, when the flow deal expires. If we get those jets, we should get them with our cheeks in the CA seats., not furloughees. If they lose 2000 seats, that shouldn't mean 2000 flowbacks, or 500 or even 1."
-------------------------------------
"plain and simple - the company has already said they cant make money with APA flying 100 seat jets. translation - they never will fly 100 seat jets. period. APA types will tell you with that sly smile that they "own" that flying. we will see. every other thing they thought was a protection that got in AMR's way has been burned to the ground. scope will suffer the same fate. followed shortly thereafter by APA. what we need is for ALPA to have the plan already in place to negotiate to obtain that flying
