Anyone out there know of any prospective Eagle hiring (if any)?
Hiring hour minimums?
what are the chances of getting Boston based?
what to expect for a junior base?
Thanks in advance.

there mins are 1000tt/100me. But I dont think they are hiring. if they are its very little. they are phasing out the Saabs from what i hear and the are still getting flowbacks from american.

Saabs being reduced to 25 airframes for '05. Still trying to determine if those will stay around. I'd assume that new hires will be Saab DFW and LAX or SJU ATR. Supposed class starting 4/11, we'll see.

Boston is the most junior ERJ base, but I don't know if they'll hire much for that for a few months. Hiring has been slowed to a pool as of January.

why in gods name would anybody be looking at eagle right now? with upgrade time reported to be a short 12 +++ years, and thats if things start to turn around for AA however they have not shown any movement to the plus side of the paper.o well this just me.

UPF-7

Why even ask that question? Who do you work for? 12+ years uprade?? Pushin 7-8 yrs....still very ugly...but where do you think those 400-500 flowbacks are going to go eventually? Do you really think they want to stay at Eagle...yeeah right! Sooner or later things will turn around.

Hindsight is always 20/20. I admire Independace Air for all their actions but I feel for the FO's that just got furloughed all the way back to 2000. If they go to another regional they won't have any faster majical upgrade. Therefore they will have played FO for the same time as an original Eagle pilot.

The people who are in a pool at Eagle will have some choices. Most likely the ones who are about to begin class will be ATR or SAAB people. If ATR, yeah, SJU. And they will remain there until attrition or some major move occurs at Eagle. If the future new hires are willing to accept those positions knowing that they won't move anywhere for a long time....who cares!

Theres still ppl pounding on the doors for SJU ATR & DFW SAAB. Those that got hired in the last <year> really got lucky to go mostly into the jet.

New bid out at Eagle. Displacements of EMJ FOs at LGA and BOS. Lots of DFW vacancies (which I suspect will all be filled easily). IMO, most likely newhire positions will be DFW Saab (maybe LAX too) and SJU ATR.

how convenient the DFW openings come AFTER the DFW displacement (not that it really matters).....

This is like comparing apples to oranges. The displacements were from the Canadair and the openings are in the Embraer. There were also DFW EMB openings on the bid that displaced all the CRJ pilots.

like duh....hence the "not that it really matters" comments.

my point is that these things have been PLANNED out in advance. would it not have made sense to make the 10 DFW EMJ FO/CA slots on the FEB bid up to 40 from this APR bid? then again sense is the key word here.

anyways sounds like the junior CRJ guys (going to EMJ) are staying in DFW longer than the senior CRJ guys who are moving to ORD, i smell a group grievance coming on.
