Spoke with an AE captain a couple of months ago, he told me they are hurting bad for FO's and that 1000/100 gets you in. Not too selective. He claimed you don't have to be a great pilot, just be able to perform your flows and memory items real well.

I found that as funny also, come to Eagle, you dont have to be good we really need pilots.

If you don't have a CURRENT first class medical, you won't get called. I was told this about a year ago when I couldn't get a call (exceeding minimums) and once I got a new medical & updated, I was called less than a week later.

Yup. According to him, that's what they are concerned about. Your ability to perfom your flows and memory items on the line. Not being great can also be average. I'm sure his point was that superior hand flying skills aren't necssarily needed. Just be a good gear handler for the next 7 years and we'll hire you.
