I've always stayed at the Holiday Inn Express down the road, which is not bad (free continental breakfast; several fast-food joints within walking distance). And of course I've been able to solve the elusive Unified Theory of Physics after spending the night there.

If you want to experience some of the local action and be closer to Vail, you can probably do better, however.

Try the Beaver Creek Hyatt

I would've recommended the Marriott @ Vail but a quick check says there are no rooms available during those dates (unless you're a platnium).
Follow G4G5's lead and go for the Hyatt @ Beaver Creek. Been a couple years since I stayed there but it is a nice place. Be prepared to drop in excess of $300/nt for that week.

WOW, and he's a travel agent when he's not flying! What a guy! Any rooms available in Aspen, for someone I know?

Always room in Aspen. Are you still "getting your jerk on" in South Beach????:smash:
(Hey Webmaster, can we get a non-heterosexual smiley face added for Gumby?)

You mean there's someone here who isn't Platinum? ;) TC

TC sometimes you have to fore-go the Marriott in order to get your Ski's valet parked.

Do yourself a favor and don't stay in Vail. Drive half an hour to Glenwood Springs and stay at the Hot Springs Lodge & Pool. Decent prices, and you get free use of the huge 104 degree natural spring pool. Plus, there are some pretty good places to eat that you can easily walk to from your room. If you like sushi, I'd tell you to go to Mai's Palace for their 2 sushi for 1 Tuesday deal....yummy - I miss going there and now I want sushi. Be back later...

Get cheap lift tix for Beaver Creek from the chick behind the counter at Vail Valley Jet Ctr....I like the Ritz-Carlton at Bachelor Gulch...ski in, ski out. Say hey to the yellow lab (Bachelor) in the lobby if you go.

With this much lead time, you should be able to score a room at the Inn at River Walk in Edwards. It's just 15min up the road toward Vail and has nice rooms, hot tub outside. Many little shops, Starbucks, movie theater, etc. within walking distance. The Holiday Inn does have the points, but the walls are thin and it's more like a Super 8 than the nice new Holiday Inn Express units you see out there.

While there hit Pazzo's Italian restaurant at the freeway entrance by the Holiday Inn. Some of the best pizza I've ever had.

Gumby was spotted on the beach sporting his leopard print Speedo.

He just thinks South Beach is FAB-U-LOUS girlfriend!

I second what stknrdr said. The Inn at Riverwalk is nice. Here's a link: http://www.innandsuitesatriverwalk.com/

I think VVJC can get you reasonable rates, Just give them some advance notice. They have a cancellation policy, so be sure of your dates!

I've usually stay at the Americinn almost next door to the holiday inn express. They also have a free continental breakfast. The rooms were nice, free high speed internet, i even had a lazyboy in my room.
Check out the Mexican place in the strip mall acroos the street. Great food and cold beers!
Pizza, gotta go to Markos, either in Gypsum or in Edwards.

St. Regis Club is where we stay from time to time... I do not know if they have any rooms this time of the year though... The last time that I was there was in late in the summer for an overnight...

The river walk.

my vote goes for river walk! Nice shops ,and try for the upgrade to a condo! Also there is a liqour store there, and the kid kyle that runs it gives away alot of free booze.
