Of course I know the 3rd class doesn't apply to our job but if you like flying bug smashers as I do this may be something you want to sign.
Even if you hate GA doing away with the 3rd class will help reduce FAA medical backlogs for 1st/2nd class and could help you (a professional pilot) get back in the air faster and back to a pay check if you are ever down for medical reasons.

The proposed legislation would allow pilots to use a valid state driver's license in place of the traditional medical certificate if the flights are:

- Conducted in VFR operations only, at or below 14,000 feet MSL
- No faster than 250 knots
- In aircraft with no more than six seats and no more than 6,000 pounds gross takeoff weight.
