Can you payroll deduct that?

And what's with the quotes above the pic? Those aren't actual quotes are they?????

Yeah sure you can... ...100% of every paycheck for the next five years should cover it!!

Ha Ha!!

"Short field performance is significantly enhanced on the E-170"

How did they accomplish that?

Where is the parking brake handle in the e170, easy to accidently set it while in flight?

Doesn't the E170 have a message displayed if the parking brake is set. And if there is, how did the crew miss that?

Old news.....but to answer previous questions. "I heard" that the parking brake was set to remind the crew that the x-feed was open. And the light is very small and not in a place you would normally look.

Stupid Mistake...yes, but in in the crews defense I don't think I know a pilot out there that has'nt forgot about opening a crossfeed or why they did what they did to remind them that it was open....or something like that.

Not true.

The Parking Brake is not annuciated on the EICAS when set. It has a small cube light annunciater located on the vertical panel above the Captain's MCDU.

The Parking Brake handle is located adjacent left and behind the Spoiler handle.

Spoilers auto-stow when flaps indicate 2 regardless of the Spoiler handle position, accompanied by a CAS message.

Add turbulance and a speed restriction during the initial approach and a high workload.

Unfortunate. Learn. :(

This used to happen a few times in the EMB-120. What would happen is a captain would observe the fluid level from the Green or Blue Hydaulic system and try to transfer the fluid by pushing on the parking brakes, then pulling the parking brake handle, then releasing the brakes and repeating until enough fluid was tranfered. Well, on the last one after doing it 9 or 10 times its easy to forget to release the parking brake after your done. There is no official procedure for this is the QRH. Maintenance usually used to do it. So when they landed, wallah! Not so pleasant surpsise.
