BG, if you can handle the pilot lifestyle (more susceptible to industry cycles, many nights away from home etc.) I think you should go for that.
I think the big question is - where do you want to be in 10 or 20 years?
Left seat, big aircraft, decent paycheck? Go fly.
Airline management? Go into dispatch and work on a business degree.
Good pay, benefits and job security? Run screaming from the industry and go be an actuary or something.
