The NBAA Compensation and Benchmarking Survey asks for "total hours worked annually" I interpret this to be "Duty Hours". This is easy on flying days but what about layovers. If you fly to Teterboro, sit for 3 days and fly home, what do you count while you are sitting waiting for the boss to say "let's go!"?

The average Duty days are about 175 and the avg hours are about 1100 in the survey which is a 6.28hr avg per day.

Any input is appreciated

Our duty time starts one hour before departure, and ends 30 minutes after returning to base. All hours away from base are counted.

If you have "collateral duties" assigned to you (i.e. Training, Safety, etc) you should account for the time worked to accomplish these duties as well.
