I'll tell you what: I kinda pride myself turning my jet in on a 2-3 mile final, and there seems to be nothing wide about it.

Most guys I fly with can't even imagine flying a visual approach with a turn to final inside the marker...

Final should be turned within the distance of the appproach lighting.

If we're moving away from aviation dumb questions, I have a doozy.

The scene is a criminal trial. The Defendant, charged with assault and battery, is defending himself. He's cross-examining the victim who just identified him as her attacker. Here's his brilliant cross-examination question:

"You can't identify me! How could you identify me? Your back was turned when I hit you!"
