Ok, thats it, screw those bloody savages, let their country rot....

Anyone who stays in iraq (non military) or goes there now, after whats happened.....complete morons......

We obviously can't single out and get rid of the fanatics, so screw em, why should we continue to rebuild that place? just so more innocent people, who only mean well, can get slaughtered like animals? I hate to leave the decent people that are in iraq out there in a lurch, but they have to straighten their own shiesse out before anyone can help them.

F*ck them, I encourage everyone that knows someone already out there, or thats thinking of going there to actively discourage that activity......

I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd feel this way.

How anyone could logically go to work there is beyond me.

There's no reasoning with "people" like that.....

Time to fix things in this country, screw everyone else.....letem work their own sh1t out

Easy, now. No one said this was gonna be simple or painless.

Don't let your emotions sabotage the effort to end this sort of barbaric activity once and for all.

How about this for a question:

When in the hell are we gonna hear from leaders in the world of Islam denouncing these acts?

WHEN?

And people wonder why some folks have problems distiguishing Islam from terrorism.....If I was an 'Islamic Cleric," I'd be doing everything possible to distance myself from terroism....but it's not happening......Why?

I think that to end it once and for all we'll have to kill every da mn one of them. The "please everyone" government needs to take the leash off and let our military do what it does best...kill people and lots of them. Give the "good iraqis" a few hours to grab their stuff and get out and kill whats left over. I'm starting to think Sadaam wasn't so crazy after all. You treat dog sh it like dog sh it.

My cousin is a contractor for Halliburton and is over there. I’ve also got a good buddy who’s an Army Ranger and was home a month or two ago. He was telling me they are targeting the truck drivers mainly. I hope he’s right.

We won't. In their minds they are killing the infidels. It says to do so in that crappy holy book of theirs. The only way this will end is to carpet bomb the whole d@mn country. Yes, it sounds harsh, but they won't stop until they're dead anyway. Why not give them a head start? To quote Randall from Clerks: "Bloody Savages."

SK:cool:

P.S. All my best to whoever has loved ones over in Iraq right now. I hope they come home safe!

I'm OK with that. These folks understand only one thing: Deadly force. Anything less is perceived as weakness and only encourages them. Let Allah sort them out.

In 1989 I was making $1500 per month plus contract-period bonuses getting shot at in Central America. Today in Iraq, Blackwater is paying $20,000 per month for private security workers. I imagine there will not likely be a shortage of folks willing to take the risk for that kind of money. I'm sure the Haliburton transport crews are raking up, too.

You pays ya money ... ya takes ya chances.

Dash8,

It's fine if you don't want to take the risk or don't think the money is worth it. For that kind of money, I'm willing to take a LOT of risk. You're not going to see a shortage of people willing to go, and stay there for the money that's being paid.

It's good money.

And the first 80,000 is tax free...

Why are we paying truck drivers over 100k a year to drive a friggin truck, when the locals can do it for a fraction of 100k? I just love seeing my tax money goin to waste...

Why only the first 80,000? What is the rate after that?

Is there a site with links for contractor employment?

I believe the tax free is up to $94,000.

Timebuilder,

It's been a while since I workled overseas, so my info may be a bit dated, but I think that the principle is still applicable.

If you are outside of hte US for more than 330 days in a year, than a certain portion of your earnings are tax free, when I was doing it, I think $70,000 was tax free, but that was more than a decade ago. After that, your earnings were subject to income tax. I don't know the rate.
