A curriculum vitae is a written description of your work experience, educational background, and skills. Also called a CV.

C.V. is short for curriculum vitae (Latin)

Same thing as a resume although it tends to have more detail. I haven't seen the term used much in the States (usually only in the academic world)but in the UK that is what they ask for not a resume. Google the term if you want more details.
